No differences between Bilawal, Asif Zardari: Chandio

KARACHI: Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh for Information & Archives, Maula Bux Chandio said yesterday that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PPPP President Asif Ali Zardari are on the same page and there is no difference of opinion or policy between them on various political and national issues confronting the country including Panamagate.
He added that any statement of the PPP Chairman is regarded as policy of the party.
Talking to a private TV channel, Chandio brushed aside the perception that PPP is supporting the federal government, adding that we are not standing with the government but are supporting the democracy. To a query, he said that PTI chief Imran Khan always sees everything with suspicion.
Chandio said that people of Sindh are being meted out step motherly attitude in terms of load shedding, adding that People are braving unscheduled and prolonged hours of power failure which has multiplied their woes and hardships in scorching summer where mercury is touching 53 degrees.
He also criticized the latest statement of the Federal State Minister for Water and Power about continuing load shedding in the approaching holy month of Ramzan adding that the federal government has miserably failed to resolve the issue of energy crisis which they claimed to address within six months after coming into power.
He added that drone attacks are great threat to the sovereignty of the country but silence of the Prime Minister on this very important issue is meaningful.
He added that whenever any issue of national security arises, Mian Sahib goes on silence, he asked why PM Nawaz Sharif does not clear his stance on issues of national security “ if PM could address the nation on Panama issue, why he could not do the same on national security” he asked.
Chandio asked that is the visit of PM to London more important or matters related to national security adding that we are the friends of America not the slaves. We base of our relations with other nations on mutual respect and equality, he said adding that sovereignty of the country could not be compromised at any cost.
Advisor said that PPP leadership has always adopted clear stance over national security issues and other foreign policy matters according to the aspirations of the people.
