KARACHI: After Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London leader Nadeem Nusrat speech, saying that “MQM is nothing without Altaf Hussain”, and rejecting the so-called minus-one formula, forced the MQM Pakistan leaders to call an emergency meeting of the party and expelling the party’s London leaders from the Rabita (Coordination) Committee. Nusrat in his speech declared that MQM and its founder are the same, explaining that it was MQM’s chief who gave identity to Muhajirs. “MQM’s founder cannot be separated from his follower,” he said. MQM leader complained that prior to MQM formation, Muhajirs voted for Jamaat-e-Islami and JUP, however both these parties failed to raise their voices against the injustices that Muhajirs suffered. Nusrat alleged that the establishment wanted to put an end to MQM and these efforts needed to be stopped as the part was neither against Pakistan nor its army.  Moreover, MQM Pakistan has decided to revoke membership of senior party leaders present in London from the Rabita (Coordination) committee. The leaders who have been removed from MQM Rabita Committee include Nadeem Nusrat, Wasay Jalil, Mustafa Azizabadi and Qasim Ali Raza. This decision has been taken in a RC meeting chaired by MQM chief Farooq Sattar at MQM headquarters in PIB Colony over violation of August 23 policy of the party, said MQM spokesman. He said fundamental membership of any member would be cancelled on inclination towards anti-state sentiments. Farooq Sattar in a statement today already dissociated with Deputy Convener MQM Coordination Committee Nadeem Nusrat after he altogether rejected minus Altaf Hussain formula .
