PM holds consultations with party leaders
MAYORS, CHAIRMEN POLLS IN PUNJAB

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is in consultations these days with the party leaders on Mayors and chairmen in Punjab’s local bodies’ institutions. The names have not been finalised as yet for any major city of Punjab other than Rawalpindi yet. The consultations under the headship of PM for the third phase of the local body elections continued on the second day too. The meeting was attended by federal and provincial ministers along with Punjab’s party leaders. The meeting discussed several names for the mayors, deputy mayors and district chairmen for various cities of Punjab. Sources told that Sardar Naseem’s name for the mayor of Rawalpindi was finalised but the names for other major cities could not be finalised due to internal differences. The meeting will continue on Wednesday. It was attended by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, and senior party leaders including Asif Kirmani, Pervaiz Rashid, Hamza Shehbaz, Saud Majeed and others.
