KE inks agreement for underground cable in DHA

Karachi: K-Electric has signed an agreement with M/s BurqTron Engineering Solutions for laying a new underground transmission line in Defense Housing Authority (DHA) at an estimated cost US $ 3.5 million. According to power monopoly concern a 132 KV (Single Circuit Underground line) would be laid between Creek City & Co-Gen DCL Grid Station in DHA. This underground line would help KE upgrade its Transmission & Distribution network in the area ensuring a more reliable and stable supply of electricity in DHA. KE’s Chief Generation & Transmission Officer Dale Sinkler along with other members of the Generation & Transmission team represented KE at the signing ceremony. M/s BurqTron’s Project Director Mr. Danish Zahoor, Executive Director Mr. Mustafeez Dara & Chief Financial Officer Mr. Adnan Khalil were also present at the occasion. —PPI
