KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) self-exiled leader Saleem Shahzad has said he will soon return to Pakistan in order to strengthen Farooq Sattar and his party. “Soon coming to Pakistan to strengthen Farooq Bhai and Rabitta Committee in Pakistan,” he tweeted yesterday, minutes after Sattar dissociated the MQM from Altaf Hussain. Sattar said Altaf Hussain’s Monday speech was regrettable, anti-Pakistan and anti-Muttahida Qaumi Movement. The Muttahida Qaumi Movement will disassociate with anyone who resorted to violence and the party affairs will be run from Pakistan, he added. The Muttahida Qaumi Movement in 2014 suspended Shahzad’s party’s membership, extending a warning to all members to strictly adhere to its code of conduct.
