HAMBURG: Argentina’s Leonardo Mayer, ranked 138th in the world, qualified for the Hamburg ATP final with a straight sets 6-3, 7-5 win over another compatriot Federico Delbonis, another outsider. Mayer won the title in 2014 with victory over David Ferrer in the final, hia only ever career ATP tournament win. On the Hamburg clay, the 30-year-old Mayer will take on a German player in Sunday’s final, with Saturday’s second semi-final between Florian Mayer and Philipp Kohlschreiber.
