HELD SRINAGAR: An Indian soldier was killed yesterday during an exchange of fire along the Line of Control (LoC), just a day after four Pakistani soldiers drowned after Indian troops targeted their vehicle. Earlier in the day, Pakistan Army director general of military operations (DGMO) contacted his Indian counterpart and warned him of a “stronger” response to the Indian aggression against Pakistani troops. Sources said Pakistani DGMO strongly protested with Indian commander over the martyrdom of four soldiers. He asserted, “Pakistan Army reserves the right to respond any Indian aggression”, sources said. The commander asked Indian counterpart to stop violating ceasefire agreement. The Indian troops on Sunday targeted a Pakistan Army vehicle moving along the Neelum River at Athmuqm on LoC.
