Over Rs7 billion released for various water projects

ISLAMABAD: The Planning Commission has released Rs.7350 million against total allocation of Rs.36750 million in annual Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for fiscal year 2017-18 for various water projects so far. According to the data of Planning Commission, as many as Rs.5000 million was released for Kacchi Canal Project (Phase 1) Dera Bugti Naseerabad, Rs.40 million for Kurram Tangi Dam Project and Rs.140 million for Channelization of Deg Nullah, Punjab. A sum of Rs.1700 million was released for Extension of Right Bank Outfall Drain (DROB-II), Rs.240 million for Balochistan Effluent Disposal into (RBOD-III) from Sehwan to Sea, Rs.140 million for Lower Indus Right Bank Irrigation and Drainage Project (RBOD-I) and Rs.40 million for construction of 100 small dams in Tehsil Dobandi, Balochistan
