ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan today said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah should immediately resign for what he said killing Pakistani citizens.
The PTI chairman made the demand via Twitter message a day after the Punjab government released an inquiry report on Model Town tragedy. The report was made public on the orders of a full bench of the Lahore High Court.
At least 14 people were killed and over 90 others severely injured during clashes between police and activists of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek in June 2014. The clashes had erupted after authorities moved in to remove encroachments in front of the residence of PAT chief Allama Tahir ul Qadri. -Agencies
