Govt announces no load-shedding on Eid

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Water and Power has claimed that it will not carry out any power outages anywhere in the country during the three holidays of Eid-ul-Azha starting from today. An official of Ministry of Water and Power told state-run news agency APP that load-shedding would not be done after 6 pm from today (Monday) across the country. The government has announced three-day Eid-ul-Azha holidays from September 12-14. Karachi power firm K-Electric has also announced that there will be no power cuts during Eid holidays. “K-Electric will ensure uninterrupted power supply to its consumers on the occasion of Eid ul Azha,” it said.
